Marian Catholic Names New Vice President of Ministry and Mission
After an extensive search, Linda Hansen will be Marian Catholic’s first Vice President of Ministry and Mission. As the Dominican Sisters are less present in the school, this leadership position will be responsible for ensuring Marian Catholic remains active in its Catholic, Dominican identity. Linda has served Marian Catholic for over 30 years in the English and Theology departments, as an administrator for the Bracha Center, and an University by Design (UbD) lead teacher. She is comfortable creating and initiating new programs evidenced by her creation of the AP Seminar curriculum, summer study 技能 program, and the Think Tank which was the precursor to the Bracha Center. She sent her two children, Robert '13 and Ruth '21, to Marian Catholic. There is no doubt she is fully invested in the school. 除了, she holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, is a lay ecclesial minister, is very active in her parish, and has assisted at Marian Catholic in Masses, 凯洛, and retreats.
"There is great potential to more fully live out our mission at Marian Catholic. This includes further integration of service opportunities to get our students actively involved in their faith, as well as building community both within and beyond our walls. I am excited to bring us back to our roots while also making our Catholic, Dominican identity relatable to today's young people," said Linda.
Linda is a strong woman who puts her faith into action. "She possesses the energy, 激情, 技能, and experiences to develop and initiate the programs necessary to meet the demands of the position. She will be a tremendous addition to the school leadership team and will provide the necessary focus on our ministry and mission.
